Based in Chicago, Illinois, the Kyiv Mohyla Foundation of America represents a community of Americans committed to supporting Ukraine's future through education and leadership development. Founded by friends of the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, KMFA has built a two-decade legacy of connecting the Ukrainian-American community with one of Eastern Europe's most historic and respected institutions of higher learning. The Foundation believes deeply that investment in Ukraine's higher education is essential to form young leaders who take responsibility for their nation's successful reforms and democratic development. KMFA's work is grounded in values that support the rule of law, human dignity, and the pursuit of truth—principles that define both the Academy and the Ukrainian people. The organization brings together academics, diplomats, philanthropists, alumni, and friends who share a vision of a free, educated, and innovative Ukraine. In recent years, KMFA has expanded its mission to address the extraordinary challenges facing Ukraine and its scholars, providing emergency assistance and ensuring that education continues despite unprecedented circumstances.
