Founded in 1992 as the Latin American Women's Association and rebranded in 2017 as Latin Americans Working for Achievement, LAWA represents over three decades of commitment to advancing education and quality of life for Latino families throughout the Charlotte, NC region. This community-centered organization emerged from a clear recognition that Latino students needed dedicated institutional support and advocacy.
