Sometimes we walk through life feeling like we aren't good enough, like an imposter, disconnected from ourselves and others. We can become so distressed that it's hard to enjoy the moment, and successfully move through our day. Sometimes we can't explain why we feel the way we do, and we might tell ourselves we're 'broken'. When we suffer like this, it's possible that there's a connection to your family's past and this wounding happened to someone other than yourself. My goal is to help you unpack these feelings, come to understand what is yours and what may be inherited, and move toward resolution and healing.
As the child of a Holocaust survivor, working with intergenerational trauma has been a deeply meaningful experience, both personally and professionally. I know first-hand the healing that can be achieved through therapy with someone who understands the complexity of inherited family trauma.
