About LGBTQ Center of the Cape Fear Coast
The LGBTQ Center of the Cape Fear Coast, formerly the Frank Harr Foundation, is a 501(c)(3) organization. We offer programming, advocacy, and outreach for the LGBTQ+ community and our allies in southeastern North Carolina.
On May 8, 2008, the world lost a lifelong advocate for cultural diversity and social justice, Frank Harr. In honor of his legacy, Frank's partner of 32 years, Ken Cox, founded The Frank Harr Foundation - a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The organization has provided a home for outreach, community, education, and advocacy in southeastern North Carolina. From peer support groups to elder outreach, the staff and volunteers of the Frank Harr Foundation worked tirelessly to ensure that equality, inclusion, and community were available to everyone in our region.
In mid 2021, the Frank Harr Foundation changed our name to The LGBTQ Center of the Cape Fear Coast.
