Magnolia Bar Association
About Magnolia Bar Association
Founded in the fall of 1955, the Magnolia Bar Association has served the Jackson, MS community and the broader Mississippi legal landscape for nearly seven decades. This organization was established with a clear and purposeful mission: to facilitate the administration of justice, promote reform in the law, and uphold the honor and integrity of the legal profession. The Magnolia Bar Association has distinguished itself by providing an essential agency to articulate and address the various problems confronting Black attorneys and other minorities within the State of Mississippi, ensuring their voices are heard and their concerns are addressed within the legal system. Beyond advocacy, the association serves as a forum for the intellectual growth and professional development of its members, fostering a supportive community where legal professionals can learn from one another and contribute to positive change. Through its decades of service to Jackson and Mississippi, the Magnolia Bar Association remains dedicated to ensuring that justice prevails throughout the state. The organization continues to champion the values of equality, integrity, and professional excellence while working to create meaningful opportunities for all members of the legal community, particularly those historically underrepresented in the profession.
