About Malka Shaw

I'm Malka Shaw, LCSW, a licensed trauma therapist in private practice for over 16 years, with more than 25 years of experience in the mental health field. I work with individuals, couples, and families in NY, NJ, and FL, specializing in trauma, relationship challenges, women’s mental health, and stress-related issues.

My therapeutic approach is integrative and collaborative, drawing from EMDR, CBT, and family systems theory. I support clients in building emotional resilience, processing past pain, and creating healthier patterns in their lives and relationships. My work is grounded in empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a deep respect for each client’s story.

In addition to my clinical practice, I’m the founder of Kesher Shalom Projects, an initiative rooted in Jewish values that offers education, consultation, and professional development on the psychological impact of antisemitism, Jewish cultural competence, and trauma-informed care. Kesher Shalom serves both Jewish communities and the professionals who support them.
