About Minnesota Women Lawyers
Since 1972, Minnesota Women Lawyers has served the Minneapolis, MN community as a cornerstone organization for women in the legal profession. Founded on the belief that advancing women attorneys strengthens the entire legal system and society at large, MWL has grown into a vibrant community of over 1,200 members including attorneys, judges, law students, and legal employers who share a commitment to professional excellence and social justice. The organization's mission—to advance the success of women lawyers and strive for a just society—guides every initiative and program. Throughout its five decades of service, MWL has cultivated a supportive environment where women legal professionals can develop as leaders, build meaningful relationships with peers, and make tangible contributions to their communities. Members find more than professional development; they discover a community of colleagues who understand the distinctive journey of women in law and are invested in each other's success. MWL's values-driven approach ensures that all initiatives remain focused on addressing the real, changing needs of women in the legal profession.
