Miami Dade NAACP Youth Council is established to create a long-term approach to combat systemic racism by focusing on creating leaders in the fields of politics, criminal justice, and advocacy. Founded by The Resource Room’s Executive Director, Ebony Johnson, with the support of the Miami Dade NAACP, anchor institutions, and concerned community leaders, this initiative seeks to identify the “Talented & Ambitious Youth” and support students of color by providing the wrap-around resources they need to graduate from high school and college, with continuing support for their career endeavors.
