Navigating the college admissions process can be both exciting and overwhelming. For Jewish students, questions about campus climate, safety, community, and support have become an increasingly important part of the college search. How can students identify colleges where they will feel secure, supported, and able to thrive academically and personally?
Mandee Heller Adler, founder and CEO of International College Counselors, will offer clear, practical guidance on navigating the admissions process through this lens. She will discuss how to research colleges effectively, evaluate campus culture and Jewish life, and think strategically about fit beyond rankings. Parents and students will learn what students should be focusing on now, how to strengthen applications, and how to stand out authentically in a competitive admissions landscape. We’ve been helping students and their families navigate the college admissions process since 2004. International College Counselors was born out of the frustration that friends and family of Mandee Heller Adler, the Founder and Partner, experienced while trying to help their children navigate the often-confusing college admissions process. As a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard Business School, recipient of a fellowship from the Rotary International to study at ICADE, a premier business school in Madrid, Spain, and recipient of approximately $60,000 in scholarship aid, Adler was the go-to person for assistance with reviewing college and scholarship applications, essay and resume writing, and targeting the best colleges to attend. As friends told their friends about their students’ college acceptances, Adler decided to use her personal expertise and knowledge to start a business that helped students with the stressful process. In 2004, Adler founded International College Counselors to provide expert strategies for admission to undergraduate colleges, graduate programs, business schools, law schools, medical schools, dental schools and other postgraduate schools. Adler’s first client gained acceptance into Dartmouth; since then, Adler brought on partner, Barry N. Liebowitz, and a team of expert college advisors around the world who have helped thousands of students get into the schools of their dreams.
