About 72nd Annual Alpha Merit Toy Dance
Join us for dining, dancing and holiday cheer as we support minority youth in our community and raise funds for educational programs.
Leadership, Scholarship, and Service are the foundation of the Alpha Merit Group Educational Foundation, Incorporated (AMGEF). AMGEF provides scholarships and development curricula for minority youth throughout the Houston Metropolitan area.
Our signature black-tie gala has become one of the most anticipated events allowing us to fundraise to support our educational causes. The gala provides various charitable organizations within our historical communities with toys for the children they serve during this holiday season. We ask that you bring an unwrapped toy of $15 value as a contribution to our annual toy drive. We also ask that you have a festive spirit and partake in our planned spectacular live entertainment. We ask that you bring your dancing shoes and prepare to enjoy a celebratory occasion filled with food and spirits.
Finally, we ask that you share and encourage your friends and colleagues to sponsor a table or purchase an individual ticket. Again, this kind gesture supports our annual educational programming for minority youth in the Houston Metropolitan area.

Alpha Merit Group Educational Foundation, Inc. (AMGEF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, focused on scholarship, training, and development programs for minority youth. The organization was founded in 1982, as a mechanism to address the challenges facing minorities in America. It has grown into a fully comprehensive outreach and scholarship entity over its nearly four decades of existence. AMGEF implements its focus through two programs: High Chair to Higher Education and the Alpha Merit Beautillion. The foundation also participates in local partnerships, such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, Boy Scouts of America and Junior Achievement.
