Since 1923, Northwest Danish Association has been building bridges between Denmark and the Pacific Northwest, establishing itself as a vital community resource in Seattle, WA for those seeking connection to Danish culture and values. Founded originally as the Danish Old Peoples Home, NWDA has evolved into a comprehensive organization dedicated to preserving and sharing Danish heritage while maintaining deep commitment to elder care and family support.
At its heart, NWDA is driven by people—a passionate community of volunteers, donors, and members from diverse backgrounds united by appreciation for Danish culture and values. Our organization functions as a gathering place where individuals find more than cultural programming; members discover friendship, networking opportunities, and genuine community support systems.
