Founded on March 8, 1975, the Norwegian Society of Texas has grown into the only statewide organization dedicated to serving Norwegian Texans in the Dallas, TX area and across the state. Operating as a tax-exempt 501(c)3 nonprofit, NST embodies a steadfast commitment to its founding mission: "To Enjoy, Preserve and Promote Our Norwegian Heritage." The organization was formally incorporated with the Secretary of State on March 25, 1975, and has since become a vital cultural institution for the Norwegian-American community. NST brings people together through shared heritage, creating meaningful opportunities for members to celebrate traditions, connect with their roots, and pass cultural knowledge to future generations.
