About Ohio Realtist Association
Since 1952, the Ohio Realtist Association has served as a beacon for fair and equitable housing opportunities in Columbus and throughout the state. Founded on the principles of civil rights and equal access, ORA emerged from a critical moment in American history when real estate professionals recognized the urgent need to challenge discriminatory housing practices. The organization carries forward the legacy of NAREB's founders—twelve pioneers who gathered in 1947 to dedicate themselves to housing equality regardless of race, creed, or color. For over seven decades, ORA has championed meaningful legal challenges and supported legislative initiatives that ensure all Americans have access to fair and affordable housing. The association's seven local chapters across Ohio unite around a shared mission: promoting democracy in housing. ORA members are more than real estate professionals—they are advocates for community inclusion and housing justice. Based in Columbus, the organization continues to participate actively in advancing fair housing policies and supporting initiatives that create opportunity for all. By joining ORA or working with ORA-affiliated realtists in Columbus and beyond, individuals and families support a movement dedicated to breaking down barriers to homeownership and property access. The association's enduring commitment to equality, combined with professional expertise, makes ORA a trusted partner for those seeking real estate services aligned with values of fairness and community.
