Since 1977, the Organization of Chinese American Women has grown from a simple cup of tea between three visionary women—Pauline Tsui, Ambassador Julia Chang Bloch, and Jeanie Jew—into a thriving national movement serving communities across the country, including Maryland. The Maryland Chapter embodies this legacy of leadership and volunteerism, bringing together dedicated Chinese American women who have demonstrated exemplary service in government, business, education, and community organizations. What sets OCAW Maryland apart is its deep commitment to recognizing the contributions and talents of Asian Pacific American women while actively working to improve their opportunities across all sectors of society.
