Based in Lincoln, Nebraska, OutNebraska has spent more than a decade building power within LGBTQ+ communities through authentic relationships and shared values. As a 501(c)3 non-partisan organization, OutNebraska is dedicated to empowering, celebrating, and growing LGBTQIA2S+ communities across the state, guided by principles of inclusion, collaboration, affirmation, and community joy.
The organization's work stems from a clear vision: Nebraska communities that embrace and celebrate the full spectrum of LGBTQ+ people. Recognizing that many LGBTQIA2S+ Nebraskans experience discrimination, disparities, and isolation—especially transgender people and people of color—OutNebraska centers these experiences in its mission and programming.
OutNebraska builds community power by bringing people together in multiple ways. The organization lifts up allies and celebrates LGBTQ+ culture through engaging events and festivals. It also invests in people through volunteer opportunities and civic engagement initiatives that encourage community members to take action on issues affecting their lives.
