About Partnership-Afghanistan Canada

Partnership-Afghanistan Canada (PAC) emerged from a powerful vision of Afghan and non-Afghan Canadians who gathered in Ottawa immediately following 9/11 to address the reconstruction of post-war Afghanistan. Now based in West Vancouver, BC, PAC continues this founding mission as a volunteer-driven humanitarian organization committed to fostering long-term peace, sustainable development, and cultural preservation in Afghanistan. The organization's values center on supporting Afghanistan's reconstruction while maintaining its rich cultural heritage, and simultaneously helping Afghan newcomers integrate successfully into Canadian society. PAC was originally established in Ottawa before relocating to Vancouver in 2009, reflecting its growth and expanding reach across Canada. Today, the organization serves as a bridge between Afghan communities inside and outside Afghanistan, promoting equality, respect, and unity among all Afghans toward a prosperous future. PAC's community-focused approach prioritizes direct engagement with local populations through participatory project design and implementation. The organization has launched significant initiatives including trauma therapy projects for Afghan communities, educational programs for deprived children, cultural heritage celebrations, and food distribution efforts supported by donor contributions. By combining volunteer passion with professional project management, PAC demonstrates that meaningful humanitarian impact comes from listening to community needs, respecting cultural values, and building partnerships based on mutual respect and shared vision for Afghanistan's future.
