Persian Zoroastrians Organization
About Persian Zoroastrians Organization
Founded in 1981 by passionate volunteers in San Jose, California, the Persian Zoroastrians Organization has grown into a cornerstone of religious and cultural life for the local Zoroastrian community. Built upon the sacred teachings of Zoroaster—Good Thoughts, Good Words, and Good Deeds—PZO represents a living bridge between ancient spiritual tradition and modern community needs. The organization's journey reflects the dedication of community visionaries like Rostam and Morvarid Guive, whose generous contributions made possible the beautiful temple on Mount Hamilton, serving as a spiritual home for families throughout the San Jose region. Today, PZO nurtures a vibrant community of over 500 families who gather for religious ceremonies, cultural celebrations, and meaningful fellowship. More than just a place of worship, the organization embodies the values of its faith by creating spaces where Zoroastrian families can practice their beliefs, celebrate their heritage, and build lasting connections with one another. As the community continues to flourish and evolve, PZO remains committed to its mission of preserving and sharing Zoroastrian culture while expanding its ability to serve growing numbers of families. The organization's ongoing efforts to establish a larger, more accessible community center in San Jose demonstrate its unwavering commitment to supporting the spiritual and cultural needs of Zoroastrians for generations to come.
