PFLAG Casper
About PFLAG Casper
Founded in 1973 following one mother's simple act of publicly supporting her gay son, PFLAG Casper carries forward a legacy of family-centered activism in Wyoming. The organization brings together LGBTQ+ individuals, their parents, families, friends, and allies in Casper to build a community rooted in love, acceptance, and mutual support. PFLAG Casper operates from a fundamental belief that diversity should be celebrated and all people deserve respect, value, and affirmation regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. As part of a grassroots movement with deep roots across generations of American families, PFLAG Casper serves as a vital connection point for those seeking understanding, belonging, and collective action. The chapter's mission centers on uniting loving families with LGBTQ+ people and allies who support one another while educating the broader Casper community to speak up as advocates. Members work together to create systemic change, speaking up until hearts and minds throughout the region respect and affirm LGBTQ+ people. By combining personal support with community education and advocacy, PFLAG Casper embodies the organization's founding principle that families standing together can transform society into a place where all people are truly welcomed and valued.
