About PFLAG Greensboro
Founded in 1993, PFLAG Greensboro has been a cornerstone of support and acceptance in the Greensboro, NC community for over three decades. As part of the nationwide PFLAG network, this local chapter is dedicated to meeting people where they are and fostering genuine human connection across differences. The organization's work is grounded in a powerful vision: a world where diversity is celebrated and all people are respected, valued, and affirmed for who they are, including their sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. PFLAG Greensboro realizes this vision through three core pillars—providing compassionate support to LGBTQ+ individuals and their families, educating communities about the unique challenges facing LGBTQ+ people, and advocating for meaningful policy changes that create lasting equality. What sets PFLAG Greensboro apart is its deeply personal, relationship-centered approach. Rather than imposing solutions, the organization meets individuals and families at their own pace, offering both group support and individual guidance. By collaborating with other organizations and advocates throughout the Triad, PFLAG Greensboro amplifies its impact and strengthens the entire community's capacity for inclusion and understanding.
