PFLAG Johns Creek
About PFLAG Johns Creek
Founded in 2012 by former members of the PFLAG Atlanta chapter, PFLAG Johns Creek, GA emerged from a recognized need for expanded LGBTQ+ resources in the North Atlanta region. What began as an effort to extend support services beyond Atlanta has grown into a thriving community organization serving not only Johns Creek but also families and individuals from Forsyth, Gwinnett, Hall, and Dawson counties. The chapter's impact extends beyond its own programming—it has been instrumental in helping establish the PFLAG Sandy Springs and PFLAG Lawrenceville chapters, maintaining close collaborative relationships with both. At its core, PFLAG Johns Creek envisions a world where diversity is celebrated and all people are respected, valued, and affirmed. The organization's mission centers on creating a foundation of loving families united with LGBTQ+ individuals and allies, working together to educate themselves and their communities while advocating for widespread acceptance. Members gather in safe spaces designed for authentic conversation, mutual support, and community building with others navigating similar journeys. Whether you're seeking support as an LGBTQ+ individual, a family member, friend, or ally, PFLAG Johns Creek welcomes you into a compassionate community committed to meeting people where they are and fostering meaningful connections grounded in respect and inclusion.
