PFLAG Wilmington Delaware is the extended family of the LGBTQ+ community, uniting LGBTQ+ individuals, family members, and allies in service to a shared vision of equality and inclusion. Operating in the Wilmington area, this 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization envisions a world where diversity is celebrated and all people are respected, valued, and affirmed regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. Since its establishment, PFLAG Wilmington Delaware has worked to transform communities through three core pillars: providing peer support for families, allies, and LGBTQ+ individuals; delivering education about the unique challenges facing the LGBTQ+ community; and advocating for policies and laws that achieve full equality. The organization's impact extends beyond traditional support groups to include specialized programs for transgender families through PTK Delaware, safe spaces for LGBTQ+ youth, and partnerships with community organizations like West End Neighborhood House and Jewish Family Services.
