Founded in 1965 by Yale University Filipino students and healthcare professionals seeking a "home away from home," the Philippine-American Association of Connecticut has grown into Connecticut's oldest and most established Filipino cultural community, now based in West Haven. What began as a social gathering place for homesick Filipino immigrants has transformed into a meaningful force for cultural preservation and community service.
