Since 1948, Delta Zeta has maintained a strong presence in the Phoenix metropolitan area, with the Pi Zeta Chapter at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ serving as the collegiate heart of this enduring sisterhood. Over 75 years of continuous operation demonstrates the organization's commitment to building meaningful relationships and fostering personal development among women in the Tempe community and beyond.
The Pi Zeta Chapter embodies Delta Zeta's foundational mission: to unite members in the bonds of sincere and lasting friendship. This commitment extends far beyond the college experience, recognizing three distinct stages of membership—new member, active collegiate years, and alumnae years—with the alumnae period representing the longest and most significant chapter of membership. The chapter works closely with the Phoenix Alumnae Chapter to create integrated programming that strengthens the entire Delta Zeta community.
What sets the Pi Zeta Chapter apart is its emphasis on collaboration and community. The chapter has earned national recognition through the Gertrude Houk Fariss Award, celebrating outstanding alumnae-collegiate partnerships and shared programming. This recognition reflects the genuine sisterhood that exists across all membership stages, with experienced alumnae actively supporting collegiate members through advisory roles, mentorship, and participation in chapter activities.
Located at Arizona State University in Tempe, the Pi Zeta Chapter welcomes women seeking more than a social organization—women looking for a lifelong network built on shared values, philanthropic service, and authentic friendship. The chapter represents a continuation of Delta Zeta's proud legacy in Arizona, offering prospective members the opportunity to join a sisterhood with deep roots in the community and a commitment to supporting women throughout all stages of their lives.
