About Pride Center West Texas
Founded in 2020, Pride Center West Texas represents the collective commitment of community members dedicated to improving the lives of LGBTQN+ West Texans in the Permian Basin. More than just an organization, Pride Center West Texas is a movement rooted in the belief that all people deserve safe spaces where they can authentically exist and connect with one another. The Center's mission centers on serving sexual orientation and gender identity minorities through intentional community building, recognizing that connection itself is a form of healing and empowerment. Operating in Odessa, TX, the organization brings together lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, questioning, nonbinary, and other community members alongside allies who share a vision of a more inclusive Permian Basin. The Center's leadership, including Executive Director Bryan Wilson and Board President Emily Parks, embodies the organization's values of authenticity and service. What distinguishes Pride Center West Texas is its holistic approach—understanding that LGBTQN+ West Texans need not just support services, but genuine community, celebration, and belonging. From casual gatherings to peer support groups to linkages with affirming local businesses, every program reflects the Center's core belief that connection to one another transforms lives. Pride Center West Texas invites West Texans to become members and join the ongoing work of building a safer, more welcoming Permian Basin for everyone.
