Founded in November 2017 in Glen Gardner, New Jersey, Professional Filipino American Youth (PFAY) emerged from a powerful vision: to create a safe, supportive community where young Filipino American professionals could thrive both culturally and professionally. PFAY recognizes that many Fil-Ams are often the first in their families and communities to establish careers in competitive fields, navigating professional environments where representation remains limited and cultural understanding is scarce.
At its core, PFAY is about connection—connecting culture, career, and community. The organization brings together new and established Filipino American professionals to build meaningful relationships, share experiences, and support one another's growth. Rather than viewing professional advancement and cultural identity as separate pursuits, PFAY integrates both, affirming Filipino heritage while advancing career development for its members.
