About 2026 Ride For The Living Satellite Ride

Join our satellite ride for the living while we ride through DC in partnership with the JCC Krakow as they ride through Poland.

JCC Krakow initiated two programs to commemorate the Holocaust; the Ride for the Living Global Challenge “a comprehensive fitness experience commemorating the Holocaust and honoring the rebirth of the Jewish community in Krakow, Poland” and Holocaust Survivor Day to celebrate the bravery, sacrifices, and lives of survivors. 3GDC is proud to be one of the many organizations from around the world to hold our own events locally and we hope you will join us.

In the morning 3GDC will host our Ride for the Living challenge. While the original ride takes place from the gates of Auschwitz-Birkenau to JCC Krakow, 3GDC is partnering with DC Jews on Bikes for a 36-mile bike ride to show support for local Survivors and for our partners in Krakow. * We will also offer a 9- mile route as well that will depart from the JCC at 11 AM*

*Ride followed by drinks and apps

As grandchildren of Holocaust survivors, 3GDC constitutes a living memorial that preserves and honors the legacy of our grandparents through education, advocacy, and community-building. 3GDC empowers third-generation survivors in our nation’s capital and the greater Washington region by creating space to share our common experience and elevating the voice of our unique constituency. We pledge to stand together against Antisemitism and hatred; never will we be bystanders in the face of injustice. We will reflect the diversity of third-generation survivors, build relationships with communal and educational institutions in our area, and welcome the participation of all those who support our mission. Ours is the bridge generation between the grandparents who helped raise and teach us and the future generations who will only know them through our memories. 3GDC will ensure that the lessons of the Holocaust and its stories of heroism and humanity will not only be passed down through books, art, or film but in the voices and memories of those whose families forever bear living witness to history.
