Romanian American League
About Romanian American League
Founded through the initiative and enthusiasm of dedicated members from Fort Lauderdale's Romanian American community, the Romanian American League represents a grassroots commitment to unity, pride, and mutual support. Rooted in the legacy of the Romanian Cultural Association of Florida, the League was established on the belief that a strong, united community can provide greater service to its members. The organization embodies deep Romanian values of compassion and solidarity, demonstrated through its humanitarian medical assistance programs that serve those in need throughout South Florida. The Romanian American League creates spaces for community members to express their national pride, overcome historical divisions, and build trust in one another while working toward shared objectives. Beyond cultural celebrations and social events like the annual Serbarea Campeaneasca festival, the League actively advocates for community interests, including efforts to establish a Romanian General Consulate in the Fort Lauderdale area. The organization envisions building a comprehensive Social-Cultural Center to serve generations of Romanian families in South Florida, offering legal aid, social services, and medical assistance alongside cultural programming. With a vision rooted in unity and collective strength, the Romanian American League continues to be the voice of the Romanian American community in Fort Lauderdale, FL, bringing people together around shared values and common goals that benefit all members.
