Russian American Cultural Heritage Center
About Russian American Cultural Heritage Center
Since its founding, the Russian American Cultural Heritage Center has been a cornerstone of cultural preservation for the Russian American community in New York, NY. This 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization was established with a mission rooted in the belief that cultural heritage enriches present generations while informing the future—particularly for children who will inherit and carry forward these traditions. RACH-C recognizes the profound importance of maintaining connections to Russian and Russian-speaking heritage in an increasingly diverse American landscape.
Based in New York, RACH-C brings together a committed network of cultural ambassadors, educators, and community leaders who share a passion for Russian traditions. The organization creates meaningful spaces for cultural exchange through performing and visual arts, literary events, educational forums, and family-centered celebrations like the annual Elka festival and Children's Festival. Beyond traditional cultural programming, RACH-C demonstrates its commitment to the broader Russian American community by offering specialized post-adoption services and support events. The center's approach honors both the intellectual and emotional dimensions of cultural identity, creating opportunities for Russian Americans to celebrate their heritage while helping newer generations discover and appreciate their roots. Through 22 years of dedicated service, RACH-C has established itself as a trusted community institution where culture, education, and family support intersect.
