About Russian-Canadian Cultural Heritage Foundation
The Russian-Canadian Cultural Aid Society (RCCAS) was founded in 1950 as a nonprofit organization. It is run entirely by volunteers. The Society's mission is to promote and maintain rich Russian cultural traditions and help new immigrants integrate into the Canadian way of life. Concerts, lectures, folk dancing, drama club, were some of the activities organized by RCCAS. This website is to help those interested in our community, to easily access information regarding our events, receive news updates, and find out more about the RCCAS and our initiatives.
The purpose of the Foundation is to foster the preservation and evolution of Russian culture and language in the context of the Canadian multicultural reality.
The Foundation will exist for the benefit of the Russian-Canadian community by providing the means and facilities necessary for the actualization and cultural development of the community.
The Foundation will be guided by ideals that incorporate affirmation of cultural identity and principles of traditional Russian and Canadian values in all its activities and undertaking.
