Saint Martin Lantern (Umzug) Parade - 2nd Annual
About Saint Martin Lantern (Umzug) Parade - 2nd Annual
🏮🇩🇪 Celebrate Sankt Martin with Us! 🇩🇪🏮
Join the German-Texan Heritage Society (GTHS) Saturday School teachers at Beethoven Männerchor on Saturday, November 14 at 6:30 PM for a special evening celebrating one of Germany's cherished family traditions—Sankt Martin.
Together, we'll:
-Share the story of Sankt Martin in German and English
-Sing traditional Sankt Martin and lantern songs
-Take part in a Laternenumzug (lantern walk) while singing together
-Make lanterns with our GTHS teachers
Bring your own lantern or come early and make one with us!
Sankt Martin is a wonderful tradition centered around kindness, generosity, and sharing with others—and, of course, seeing children light up the evening with their lanterns.
Bring the family and help us keep this beautiful German tradition alive in Texas!
