About Samer Habib
My name is Samer Habib, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Minnesota. I hold a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Pennsylvania State University, and I’ve worked with adolescents, adults, and couples in a range of settings across different countries. My work focuses primarily on trauma, grief, adjustment, self-esteem, and relationship concerns.
I’m especially interested in how difficult experiences can shape the way people see themselves, relate to others, and move through everyday life. My approach makes room for both the immediate concerns that bring you to therapy and the longer history that may be influencing you.
Having lived in multiple countries, I bring attention to the ways culture, identity, family, and environment shape each person’s experience. I tailor therapy to you rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. I integrate psychodynamic, acceptance and commitment, and cognitive behavioral approaches. I see therapy as a place to better understand recurring patterns, work through painful experiences, and develop greater flexibility in how you respond to yourself and the world.
Starting therapy can feel daunting, and it takes courage to ask for support. You deserve a space where your experiences, identity, and story are met with care and without judgment. If you are considering therapy, I invite you to reach out and see if working together feels right for you.
