Having successfully closed over 6,000 real estate and business transactions in 20 years of private practice, she has become one of the most highly sought after real estate attorneys in the Chicagoland area.
She oversees a high-volume real estate closing practice for clients who are first-time home buyers and sellers, FSBO's, seasoned investors, banks, retailers and wholesalers.
In 2023, she joined the ranks of the American Bar Foundation Fellows. ABF Fellows are a global honorary society of attorneys, judges, law faculty, and legal scholars whose public and private careers have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the highest principles of the legal profession. Fellows membership is by invitation only and limited to 1% of licensed attorneys.
In 2022, she was selected as a Top 100 Member among Black lawyers in the nation. For the past five years, she has been recognized for her superb standing among lawyers in Illinois on Avvo.com.
As a 2018 Fellow for Organizing for Action, her community service efforts have been in the areas of home ownership and business ownership. She is an active member of the Board of Directors for The Harbour, a child welfare agency in Illinois and African-American Community Trust (AACT), a foundation dedicated to improving the condition of Black people around the world.
Her other professional affiliations also include the Cook County Bar Association, Chicago Association of Realtors and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She also proudly serves as an executive member for various committees at University of Chicago Laboratory Schools, including the Black Family Forum and the Parents Association.
She represents First American Title and several other reputable title insurance companies as a title insurance agent for real estate transactions.
She holds a Juris Doctor degree from University of Illinois Chicago John Marshall Law School and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Columbia College Chicago. She maintains active with both Alumni Relations Departments.
