About SLU Law Black Law Students Association
The Black Law Students Association represents a community-centered student organization at Saint Louis University, based in St. Louis, MO, dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for African American law students. Founded within one of the nation's oldest Catholic universities established in 1818, the organization carries forward SLU's enduring Jesuit mission of faith, service, and social justice. The association reflects the university's core values of educating the whole person—mind, body, heart, and spirit—while fostering meaningful connections among Black law students pursuing diverse career paths.
At its heart, the Black Law Students Association serves as a bridge connecting law students to mentorship, professional networks, and community engagement opportunities. Based at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, the association benefits from institutional support for student-led initiatives and a campus community representing 100 countries. Members gain access to the university's extensive alumni network of over 134,000 graduates across 50 states and 154 countries, many of whom have established successful legal careers.
