The Miami-Dade Alliance of Gospel Music Professionals (MDA), formerly the Miami Gospel Announcers’ Guild is an associate member organization/chapter of the National Alliance of Gospel Music Professionals (NAGMP), an auxiliary of the Gospel Music Workshop of America (GMWA). One of the world’s largest; most recognized and oldest music and professional industry organizations, GMWA is now in its 53rd year. Just to give some history, NAGMP, formerly the National Gospel Announcer’s Guild, was established 50 years ago and is comprised of radio personalities, program directors, music directors, media personnel, record label executives, artists (professional recording and upstarts); managers, promoters and the like. The aforementioned individuals work collectively to build and engage new audiences, promote and preserve the history and heritage of Gospel Music; endorsing integrity, professionalism, positive and productive networking; and continued awareness and growth of the industry as a whole.
