Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was founded January 13, 1913 on the campus of Howard University to promote Sisterhood, Scholarship, and Service. Today, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has more than 1,000 chapters worldwide and has initiated over 350,000 members. Stockton Alumnae Chapter was chartered April 24, 1976. In keeping with tradition, Stockton Alumnae Chapter was established to serve the communities of Lodi, Stockton, Ripon, Salida, and Modesto North of Carpenter.
