Threads of Bayanihan
Community. Culture. Cause.
Join The SHARE Initiative and Teofilo Coffee Company for Threads of Bayanihan, a free community marketplace celebrating the many threads that bring us together.
In Filipino culture, bayanihan embodies the spirit of community, cooperation, and people coming together to help move something forward. Threads of Bayanihan brings that spirit to life through culture, creativity, connection, and collective action.
Spend the day sipping, shopping, and sharing while exploring local makers, artists, and small businesses, with a special spotlight on Filipino culture and creativity.
What to expect:
β Coffee + community
π¨ Arts + crafts
π Jewelry + clothing
π΅π Filipino culture + creativity
ποΈ Local makers + small businesses
π€ A cause that helps make our communities safer
But Threads of Bayanihan is about more than what we create and share. Itβs also about what we can move forward together.
This year, Threads will help raise awareness and funds to support tenant safety and protection legislation in California, inspired by the story of Sharon Santos and the work of Justice for Sharon.
Come for the coffee and culture. Discover something you love. Meet your neighbors. Support local makers. Learn about the cause. Add your thread.

The SHARE Initiative - Events
The SHARE Initiative is a nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring victims of violent crime, supporting families seeking justice and healing, and helping build safer, more informed communities. SHARE stands for Support, Honor, Advocate, Raise Awareness, and Engage. These principles guide our work to educate and empower individuals, raise awareness around public safety and prevention, support victims and their families, and bring people together around issues that affect our communities. The SHARE Initiative grew out of Justice for Sharon Santos, a grassroots effort started by Sharonβs family and friends to seek answers and justice for her unsolved 2004 murder. What began as a shared commitment to Sharon has grown into a broader effort to honor victims, support families, and help prevent violence in our communities. Through educational programs, community events, advocacy, and partnerships, we create opportunities for people to learn, connect, and take part in building safer communities. We believe lasting change happens through collaboration. By bringing together families, community members, organizations, and public agencies, SHARE works to turn awareness into action while ensuring that victims and their stories are never forgotten.
