Founded in 1997, Transgender Michigan has spent over two decades building a trusted community resource in Hazel Park, MI that champions the dignity and rights of transgender individuals across the state. The organization's mission centers on creating meaningful coalitions that unify and empower transgender and gender non-conformist communities while educating Michigan residents about gender identity and the real challenges faced by transgender people and their loved ones. What sets Transgender Michigan apart is its deeply personal approach to advocacy—rooted in genuine relationships and lived experience. Co-founders Rachel Crandall Crocker and Susan Crocker, along with their dedicated board of directors, have created a welcoming space where transgender individuals, families, friends, and allies find authentic support and guidance.
