For over 15 years, Gender Solutions NY has served as a trusted partner for Transgender, Gender Non-Conforming, and Non-Binary individuals in Seaford, NY and the greater New York metropolitan area, dedicated to education, empowerment, and community visibility. Founded by Dr. Gennifer Herley, a proud transgender woman and organizational psychology doctorate holder, the organization emerged from a deep commitment to enhancing the lives of TGNCNB individuals through advocacy, human and social services, and lifelong learning development. Gender Solutions NY recognizes that navigating personal identity and professional life can be daunting, especially without supportive community resources. The organization provides a nurturing space where individuals can develop roadmaps through gender transition, address concerns around gender dysphoria, build authentic community connections, and celebrate their true selves. Monthly group meetings and support gatherings create opportunities for members to learn from one another, share stories, and develop meaningful relationships within a judgment-free environment. Beyond individual support, Gender Solutions NY extends its mission to allies and broader organizations, helping heterosexual and cisgender people understand and support their transgender neighbors. As a board member of I'm From Driftwood, Dr. Herley champions storytelling as a powerful tool for community building and mutual understanding.
