The PFLAG Annapolis/Anne Arundel County chapter supports the LGBTQ+ community, its families, friends, and allies in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. It is an official chapter of the PFLAG national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
The PFLAG national organization is the non-profit parent organization for over 300 regional chapters, including the Annapolis/Anne Arundel County chapter.
PFLAG envisions a world where diversity is celebrated and all people are respected, valued, and affirmed inclusive of their sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression.
Our mission is to build on a foundation of loving families united with LGBTQ+ people and allies who support one another, and to educate ourselves and our communities to speak up as advocates until all hearts and minds respect, value and affirm LGBTQ people.
Elsa W. Smith is the founder and principal of the Law Offices of Elsa W. Smith, LLC. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Elsa is a native Spanish speaker. Her parents fled Cuba’s communist regime in search of freedom and prosperity in the United States. Elsa graduated from the University of Miami (Coral Gables, Florida) in 1993 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. In 1996, she earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law.
