About UT Austin Women's Resource Agency
The Women's Resource Agency (WRA) represents a student-led movement dedicated to fostering community, equity, and belonging at the University of Texas in Austin. As a registered student organization, WRA embodies the values of intersectionality and feminism while working to transform the campus experience for women and students of all genders across the Austin community.
At its heart, WRA is about building connections—connecting students with the resources they need, connecting diverse voices through facilitated discussion, and connecting the campus community around shared values of justice and inclusion. The organization recognizes that student success extends beyond academics and encompasses access to support systems, community belonging, and a campus culture that actively welcomes and celebrates all students. WRA's leadership and members work tirelessly to ensure that every student feels they have a place within the UT Austin community.
What sets WRA apart is its commitment to authentic partnership and systemic change. Rather than working in isolation, the organization collaborates with university divisions, health services, student government, and other campus organizations to create coordinated, comprehensive support. This collaborative approach reflects WRA's understanding that meaningful change happens when diverse stakeholders work together toward common goals.
Through advocacy, discussion, and fundraising, WRA creates spaces where students can be heard, supported, and empowered. The organization recognizes the unique challenges faced by women and gender-diverse students at UT Austin and actively works to address them. By centering intersectionality in all its efforts, WRA ensures that its work honors the complexity of student identities and experiences, making the University of Texas at Austin a more inclusive and welcoming community for everyone.
