About Utah Black Roundtable
Founded with the vision of enhancing quality of life for all Black and African Americans in Utah, the Utah Black Roundtable represents a community-driven response to the unique challenges facing African Americans in the state. Based in Ogden, UT, this pioneering organization emerged from concentrated community efforts including town meetings, panel discussions, and surveys designed to identify and address disparities that often go unnoticed in state data. The Utah Black Roundtable operates on the fundamental belief that meaningful change happens when people speak with one voice about critical issues affecting their communities. The organization values the principle that it takes all people to make a better Utah, and operates as a unifying body bringing together many individuals and organizations with one shared aim. Members recognize their collective strength through diversification and work collaboratively with partners on key initiatives that matter most to their communities. Serving the Ogden area and beyond, the Utah Black Roundtable functions as both a strategic advocacy organization and a gathering place for community information and dialogue. Through hosting community conversations, supporting youth development, conducting voter registration drives, and increasing organizational membership, the Utah Black Roundtable demonstrates its commitment to mobilizing community members toward justice and positive change.
