Westchester Women's Bar Association
About Westchester Women's Bar Association
Founded in 1974, the Westchester Women's Bar Association has established itself as a cornerstone organization for legal professionals in Hartsdale, NY and throughout Westchester County who are committed to advancing justice and equality. The WWBA's mission centers on promoting justice for all regardless of sex, advancing the social, economic, and legal status of women through law, and expanding professional opportunities while raising the level of competence and integrity in the legal profession. This diverse community of nearly 500 male and female members—including partners, associates, sole practitioners, judges, government officials, and law students—creates a unique support system addressing the distinctive challenges facing women attorneys today. The organization fosters meaningful professional and social connections through monthly newsletters, member interviews, annual events including holiday parties and dinners, and specialized committees focused on emerging legal issues. Members benefit from an invaluable resource network that celebrates professional achievements and provides mentorship opportunities. The WWBA's commitment to community service extends beyond its membership, with particular emphasis on family law and domestic violence advocacy. As part of the larger Women's Bar Association of the State of New York, Westchester members automatically gain a voice in statewide and national conversations affecting women attorneys and those they serve. The WWBA represents a vibrant professional community where attorneys collaborate to address complex legal challenges while supporting one another's growth and success in an increasingly dynamic legal landscape.
