Women in Music Puerto Rico

Women in Music Puerto Rico represents a vibrant chapter of a global movement founded in 1985 to champion equality and belonging in the music industry. Operating as part of a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with 25 chapters spanning from Los Angeles to Japan, the Puerto Rico chapter embodies the organization's core mission: to advance awareness, equity, diversity, and opportunity for women in music through education, support, empowerment, and recognition. Since its establishment in 2020, Women in Music Puerto Rico has built a thriving community of diverse music professionals united by a shared commitment to transforming the industry into a more equitable space. The chapter serves as an extended family for its members—a supportive network where professionals at every career level find mentorship, encouragement, and genuine belonging. Rooted in the values of equality, community, and inclusion, Women in Music Puerto Rico believes that the conversation around industry equity must welcome all voices and perspectives. By fostering connections among talented individuals and providing knowledge-sharing opportunities, the chapter actively works to lift up the greater Puerto Rico music community while contributing to the global movement for meaningful change in how the music industry operates and who it serves.
