El Sembrador Nueva Evangelización - ESNE
We are a PRIVATE ASSOCIATION OF LAY FAITHFUL non-profit, recognized by the Church (Canon 225§ 1) with a migrant heart, committed to the designs of God and guided by the Holy Spirit with the intercession of the Virgin of Guadalupe and all the saints. Our fundamental mission at ESNE is to provide spaces for ENCOUNTER with the love and mercy of Jesus Christ. That souls may have a personal experience with God, develop a personal relationship with Him, and, heart to heart, achieve that “ no one should perish, but all should be saved .” (2 Peter 3:9) For the past forty years, we have seen how thousands of men and women, young people and children have experienced a “Metanoia”, a conversion, a turning of their lives to God that has completely changed their way of thinking and therefore their way of living. This story of God's love for His people through El Sembrador (The Sower) began on April 3, 1984, when the founder, Noel Díaz, was attending Holy Mass. At that moment, he felt a powerful call from God to serve the community through evangelization, to which he responded with a resounding "YES." Noel's "yes" gave rise to what is now the El Sembrador Apostolate. The first meetings were held in a house with a small number of people, but as participation grew and the house became too small for the evening gatherings, Divine Providence opened the doors of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Los Angeles, California. They were allowed to use the parish facilities for their meetings, and this parish remains the venue for the weekly Encounter Meetings, which draw a large number of attendees who come to be filled with God's love and to deepen their understanding of the Catholic faith. Noel Díaz, director and founder of El Sembrador, maintains a fraternal relationship with His Holiness Pope Francis and with our Archbishop of Los Angeles, His Excellency José H. Gómez. In turn, in the El Sembrador apostolate we work in collaboration and good relationship with the Vatican Dicastery for Communications.
