Since 1992, Youth Pride, Inc. has been a cornerstone of support for LGBTQ youth in Providence, Rhode Island, serving as the only nonprofit organization in the state exclusively dedicated to young people ages 24 and under navigating sexual orientation and gender identity questions. The organization's mission extends beyond providing services to actively working toward ending the homophobic and transphobic environments that impact the lives of LGBTQ youth. Youth Pride operates on a foundational belief in meeting people where they are—literally and figuratively—through its drop-in center model that encourages youth to utilize the space in whatever comfortable and respectful way feels right for them.
