About 100 Black Men of South Metro, Atlanta Inc.
Founded in 1990 by Attorney Coleman Eaton and five other dedicated community leaders in Atlanta, GA, 100 Black Men of South Metro, Atlanta Inc. emerged from a shared vision to address the mentoring and leadership needs of African American youth in the south metro Atlanta region. The organization's mission centers on improving quality of life within communities while enhancing educational and economic opportunities for all African Americans, grounded in the values of respect for family, spirituality, justice, and integrity. What distinguishes 100 Black Men of South Metro is its deep community roots and commitment to serving as role models through the principle of 'Real Men Giving Real Time.' The chapter operates as part of the larger 100 Black Men of America movement, which began in 1963 in New York City and now reaches over 125,000 underserved youth annually across the nation. In the Atlanta community, the organization has impacted thousands of young lives, with alumni going on to achieve significant educational and professional success. The chapter celebrates its accomplishments through annual events like the Celebration of Excellence Dinner and maintains strong connections with local churches, schools, and community organizations throughout the south metro Atlanta area.
