Based in Brantford, Ontario, the Canadian Federation of University Women welcomes all women who believe in advancing education, equality, and community well-being. This voluntary, self-funded organization has built a thriving community where women from diverse backgrounds collaborate, learn, and support one another. CFUW Brantford's members gather regularly through various affinity groups—from book discussions and outdoor walking excursions to dining experiences and educational lectures—creating genuine friendships alongside intellectual engagement. The organization is rooted in six core purposes: fostering collaboration and friendship among members, promoting high standards of public education and lifelong learning, distributing scholarship awards, advocating for women's rights and human rights, building networks of mutual understanding and support, and encouraging women's participation across all professional and community sectors. What sets CFUW Brantford apart is its commitment to being truly inclusive and accessible. As a bilingual, non-partisan organization, it welcomes women of all backgrounds who share its vision for women's advancement and social progress. Members become part of a larger movement—connected to approximately 5,000 women across Ontario's 54 CFUW clubs and to over 8,000 members nationwide. Through scholarship initiatives, community advocacy, and meaningful social connections, CFUW Brantford empowers women to pursue their educational goals, develop their potential, and make a positive impact on their communities and the world.
