We are the Burlington, Ontario chapter of the Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW). We are part of a national organization of 10,000 women that is committed to pursuing knowledge, promoting education, improving the status of women and girls and actively participating in public concerns.
Annually the club presents scholarships to young women graduating from high school and continuing in post-secondary education.
Meetings have a program component and a business portion and include social time. We get together because we are interested in topics which provide information and enrichment. The programmes focus on community issues, political concerns, the arts, and education. And we also meet because in CFUW we have formed lasting friendships.
