The African American Male Wellness Agency

https://aawellness.org/ 2780 Airport Drive, Suite 360

The African American Male Wellness Agency is the health and wellness arm of the National Center for Urban Solutions (NCUS). Together, we are standing in the gap between the Black community and critical health services and supports. Since 2004, the African American Male Wellness Agency (AAMWA) has been dedicated to reducing health disparities and combating chronic diseases and premature death among Black men. Each year, we provide over 10,000 free health screenings and offer innovative health education programs. Our reach spans more than 20 U.S. cities, where we engage Black men through grassroots strategies that help us connect with those who might not typically participate in health initiatives. By actively involving the Black community in our prevention programs and health awareness campaigns, AAMWA has taken a leading role in improving the health and well-being of Black men and their families. Our core message is simple: know your numbers, see your doctor regularly, and stay active. Recognizing that wellness is a holistic issue, we have expanded our focus to address not just physical health, but also fatherhood, financial wellness, mental health, mentorship, women’s health and research projects. These are now core areas of our work, reflecting our commitment to supporting every aspect of the Black male experience. We are proud to be the #1 organization supporting African American Men and Their Families.
