About Light of The Mind Project
Mental Health Awareness, Film premiere, expert panel & reception. Breaking the silence around men’s mental health.
Some men carry everything in silence. On September 10th - that changes.
Light of the Mind Project is a film-based mental health awareness event hosted by Koga Faith Foundation - featuring the world premiere of ONE CALL, a short film written and directed by Dir. Otuya under his JEHOFILMS banner.
The evening includes:
World Premiere - ONE CALL Short Film
Expert Panel - behavioral health, government & community voices
Facilitated Dialogue - honest conversation about depression, PTSD & generational trauma
Reception - connect, heal, continue the conversation
This event is specifically designed for Black men, Men of Color, African men, and men of the diaspora - the most endangered demographic in mental health. Men who have been taught that silence is strength. Men who deserve a room where that changes.

With offices in Washington, DC and Lagos, Nigeria, the Foundation develops and deploys community-centered programs that advance mental health awareness, strengthen community identity, and build social capital in underserved and underrepresented populations. The Foundation’s mental health awareness initiative - the Light of the Mind Project - was launched in Lagos, Nigeria in September 2025 and is now expanding to Washington DC with its first U.S. event on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at The Miracle Theater.
